Syng Selected is a rhythmic a cappella choir consisting of 33 of Denmark's most talented young choir singers aged 18-30. The choir was formed in 2014 and has quickly gained a great reputation within rhythmic choral music. Syng Selected meets 4-5 times a year to practice and prepare for concerts. We spend an entire weekend together, with a packed schedule of practicing new and old repertoire, exploring the singers' vocal technique, performance and artistic work with the songs, and most importantly, time to cultivate our community.
The choir stays on one of the country's beautiful folk high schools or boarding schools during the weekends, and the weekend often ends with a concert at the respective school as a thank you for their hospitality. Additionally, we would love to talk to the students about singing in a choir and all the cool things that come with it. It is part of our vision to promote choral singing among young people.
- Do you know a venue, a church, a company party, a festival, or something else that could use a concert with one of the country's best rhythmic youth a cappella choirs?

SYNG is a youth faction of the organization Kor72 with its own articles of association and board. The association's declared purpose is to promote understanding of and appreciation for choral singing and to increase young people's knowledge of choral singing. The organization aims to represent the cultural and musical interests of Danish youth choirs with young singers between the ages of 10 and 30. Furthermore, SYNG aims to promote democratic development through organizational support for Danish youth choirs.
The association SYNG is the initiator of the elite choir Syng Selected. The idea behind Syng Selected has arisen with a vision of having a flagship to promote what choral singing does for young people, how choral singing strengthens social skills and cohesion, and provides a better quality of life.
The association SYNG is applying for support to maintain the operations of the elite choir Syng Selected.
Syng Selected is an elite choir that aims to serve talented young choral singers from across the country. Syng Selected seeks to develop the greatest talents in rhythmic choir, providing the singers with a platform where they can develop their skills to the fullest extent. This creates a rhythmic choir of an international caliber, and Syng Selected becomes a platform where individuals can develop their talents while participating in the large community that emerges among like-minded people. With the Syng Selected initiative, young talents have the opportunity to work with some of the leading choral conductors in rhythmic choral music, as well as other young choral singers who share the same high level of technical skill.
Syng Selected has different conductors for each two-year period to ensure continuous development of the choir.
In addition to being an elite choir, Syng Selected is also a place where young singers can gain experience in PR, fundraising, and other aspects of association work, as a board consisting of singers from the choir and representatives from the Syng association has been established. This can give the singers a greater sense of ownership while recognizing the realities, challenges, and opportunities of running a cultural association. These are skills that members can use, reuse, and further develop in their own existing choirs and associations.
Syng Selected holds choir weekends at varying locations around the country, providing greater opportunities to include national talents on a nationwide level. This helps ensure that Syng Selected serves as ambassadors for the development of choral music and talent development nationally.
For each rehearsal weekend, a concert is held at the location to showcase on a national level what can be achieved with rhythmic choral music.
